Play tells little-known black history

Drama critic Robert Delaney reviews "Before there was Broadway," playing at WSU's Studio Theatre downstairs at the Hilberry. "While the play might well benefit from some polishing, it is definitely an important work that deserves a broader audience than just two weekends at Studio Theatre," Delaney opines. The play focuses on The African Company, a theatre group that existed in the early 1800s.
